TheKeyword for AI assistants

Keyword research.
Inside your conversation.

Give your assistant access to your keyword library, search data and content opportunities. Connect once with your TheKeyword API key.

Try this first

“Use TheKeyword to show my current usage and five keywords already in my library. Don’t run a new analysis or spend credits.”

Connect to TheKeyword

Choose a client that supports Streamable HTTP and custom Bearer authorization headers.

Hosted MCP URL
https://thekeyword.io/mcp
  1. Create a key in your API key dashboard.
  2. Add the configuration below to your client.
  3. Provide the key locally, reconnect, and try the prompt on this page.
.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "thekeyword": {
      "url": "https://thekeyword.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_THEKEYWORD_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

Replace the placeholder locally. Keep the configuration private and out of version control.

Using another MCP client?

Select Streamable HTTP, use the hosted URL above, and add the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_THEKEYWORD_API_KEY. Clients that only accept a URL or require OAuth cannot connect through this setup. Your website sign-in does not authenticate MCP.

Your research, with your account’s permissions

Explore what’s available

Discover API operations, inspect keyword metrics and SERP data, and read your saved lists, clusters and usage.

Put research to work

Ask your assistant to organize lists, discover opportunities or start analyses. Request approval before spending credits, changing data or deleting anything.

Keep control

Your account permissions, plan limits and API credits apply. Each MCP request also makes a free usage check, which counts toward API request rate limits. Revoke access from your API key dashboard.
