1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TheKeyword (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TheKeyword provides keyword research and analysis tools via a web application and REST API. Features include keyword metrics, SERP analysis, trend data, volume forecasts, and related keyword discovery.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate account information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • One person or entity per free account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share or resell API keys or data to third parties without authorization
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage quotas
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download data beyond your plan limits
  • Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or other users' access

5. Billing and Cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the pricing page or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.

6. Data and Accuracy

Keyword data is sourced from third-party providers and may not be 100% accurate. TheKeyword provides data "as is" without warranty of completeness or accuracy. You should not rely solely on our data for business-critical decisions without independent verification.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheKeyword shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent activity. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect.
